Privacy Policy

THE SHORT VERSION

Tiny Boop does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, there are no servers, and your photos never leave your Mac.

Your photos

When you choose a photo, Tiny Boop reads that one file and cuts the subject out using image processing built into macOS. All of this happens on your own Mac. Your photos are never uploaded anywhere, and Tiny Boop has no ability to upload them: the app contains no networking code of any kind.

The finished sticker is saved on your Mac so it can reappear when you reopen the app. Tiny Boop can only read the specific files you pick, because it runs inside Apple's App Sandbox with read-only access to user-selected files.

Your notes

The text you type into sticky notes is stored only on your Mac, in the app's own local storage. It is not sent anywhere, not synced between devices, and not readable by anyone but you.

What syncs through iCloud

So that one purchase works on all of your Macs, Tiny Boop stores three small settings in Apple's iCloud key-value storage:

That is the complete list. No photos, no note text, and nothing that identifies you. This data is handled by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, and it is tied to your Apple Account rather than to us. We cannot see it.

Purchases

The $3.99 premium unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see, receive, or store your name, card details, or billing address. Tiny Boop only ever learns a single fact from Apple: whether this Apple Account has purchased the unlock.

What we do not do

Children

Tiny Boop is safe for all ages. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children either.

Deleting your data

Everything Tiny Boop stores lives on your own Mac. Dragging the app to the Trash removes it. The three iCloud settings listed above can be cleared from System Settings, under your Apple Account, in the iCloud section.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new use of your data.
